Here we grow again! 😉 We’re looking for a part-time Project Coordinator to join our small team in Charlotte, NC.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Coordinator — Charlotte (Part-time, Hybrid)

WHO WE ARE

At SkillPop, we host engaging, expert-led classes and workshops.

We started in 2015 with pop-up style classes taught by community experts in Charlotte, North Carolina and quickly started scaling across the Southeast to Raleigh, Nashville, Atlanta and more. While the pandemic rocked our world and led us to a major pivot, we’re back to our in-person class roots as of February 2023 in our home market of Charlotte — and looking for the right person to help us grow.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Project Coordinator [Part-time, Hybrid]

15–20 hours/week with potential to grow

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the “keeper of the calendar,” working with our teaching community to build out the monthly class schedule for our Charlotte market. You’ll also support our corporate business by responding to inbound inquiries, scheduling private classes for clients, and managing details like sending invoices and communicating class needs to the rest of the team. If desired, you’ll also have the opportunity to support classes on the ground either during business hours or at one of our pop-up locations in the evenings.

We’re a small team; you’ll work directly with our founder and Operations Associate in this role and you’ll also be the main point of contact for our community of 50+ teachers. You’ll thrive at SkillPop if you have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills and appreciate a flexible and creative work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the monthly SkillPop calendar. You’ll work with our teachers and venue partners to fill 20–30 class slots per month in our Charlotte market, and you’ll make sure that class details get posted to both internal and external systems.
  • Respond to inbound private class inquiries in a timely manner and support both prospective and current corporate clients with class scheduling by coordinating with teachers and staff.
  • Work with our founder on business development & revenue growth strategies
  • Manage class cancellations and rescheduling as needed by coordinating with teachers, venues, and support staff.
  • Light administrative support; you’ll assist with sending/tracking invoices and contracts.
  • Miscellaneous communication with students, teachers, and class managers via email + Slack to ensure that everyone has the information they need for a great class experience.
  • Optional: host occasional public and/or private classes, supporting the teacher, students, and client through the class from start (setup and check-in) to finish (clean-up).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Proficient in Google Sheets
  • A reliable mode of transportation
  • Ability to work at least one day/week from our office in Southend

This role is based in Charlotte, NC, and is not available for remote applicants.

THIS MAY BE A FIT IF

  • You’re the most organized person you know; keeping track of details doesn’t intimidate you and you never met a spreadsheet you didn’t like
  • You’re a team player who’s willing to jump in wherever you’re needed
  • You appreciate a flexible schedule and are comfortable working independently
  • You’re passionate about learning, community, small business, or all of the above
