Who We Are

At SkillPop, we’re working to create highly engaging classes and workshops. We’re a high-growth startup that launched pop-up style classes in Charlotte, NC in 2015. After 4.5 years of scaling across the Southeast, we went through a major pivot in March of 2020 to launch SkillPop Anywhere — our live, online platform. Now, we’re expanding our learning community and hosting expert-led classes every night of the week.

What We’re Looking For

Part-time Class Host (Remote)

4–6 hours/week with the potential to increase hours over time.

Our Class Host role is the face of SkillPop during our live, online classes. From greeting students at the beginning of the broadcast to assisting the group with tech support, you’ll be the main point of contact for students taking the class. Additionally, you’ll act as a right-hand gal or guy for the teacher, helping manage the chat, facilitate Q&A, and comment as appropriate.

Based on our existing class schedule, we’re looking for someone who can cover 2–3 shifts per week, especially during the holiday season. Each shift is just under two hours and the majority take place during the evenings on Monday-Friday or on Saturday mornings/afternoons (ET). Exact hours are flexible and we want your work to feel more like play!

REQUIREMENTS:

1. A strong home internet connection.
2. A personal computer.
3. A well-lit, quiet, aesthetically pleasing space to broadcast from.

• Tech-savvy — you’re comfortable with basic computer skills and can figure most things out.
• Strong conversation skills.
• Confident leading groups and speaking publicly.
• Warm, hospitable, and professional; you’ll be the face of our brand when you’re in a class.
